So i am looking at buying a dark blue Isuzu Rodeo, but the rims are silver and they stand out like heck. I was wondering if anybody had any tips on powder coating the rims, or maybe some high quality FLAT black color i could do myself or someone else could do it. Anything can help, please help i have NO experience with this kind of stuff.Should I Do Powder Coated Rims?
Sears sells a portable powder coater, and various colors
you will need a kitchen oven to bake the powder coat,
do not use the one in your kitchen.....
find an electric one in a used appliance place, that your wheel will fit in with the door closed...
you will have to demount your tires, and have new stems installed and rebalanced....Should I Do Powder Coated Rims?
yeah i think powder coating would be cool if you are a hard core off roader etc... It can get costly though i would just paint them. What are they made of, what kind of surface does it have,. machined face, coated metal it all depends on what type of surface and its condition to advise the best paint.
