Does your engine have to be pulled off the bike to be powder coated?

Yes and stripped down to the cases. Anything that will not take the heat in the oven.

ie,seals ect...........

good luck you may need itDoes your engine have to be pulled off the bike to be powder coated?
yes. it also has to have all the wiring and brackets off. all the way down to the bare frame and even that has to be sand blasted. same goes for the engine. if you want to powder coat cases the engine has to be totally disassembled.Does your engine have to be pulled off the bike to be powder coated?
no you dont....just drain the oil, apply the powder coating, start engine and let it run untill it stalls on its own,the coating will look great, but it'll never run again
yes it does and most of it will also have to be taken apart and all the oil drained out too there can't be any contaminates on anything before they spray the powder coat on the parts and bake them
NO, but I highly reccommend it - especially since the whole thing will have to go through the oven at abt 350. Might deflate tires first. Plastic will be a little runny %26amp; sticky to the touch when you are done.
And keep in mind that the powder coating will reduce the engine case's ability to transfer heat into the air.
Yes it does.
Yes, you have to completely strip the bike down to the bare frame. Great winter time project though.
yeah it has to be sand blasted %26amp; cured in a 400 degree oven.

that might be a little hard on the seat.
Yes , it does they have to cook the powdercoating on.
