Galvanized vs powder coated cages?

I'm looking to buy a new rat cage and the site Im looking at ( http://www.martinscages.com/products/cages/rat/ ) offers galvanized and powder coated cages. But what does that mean!? Is their a benifit having one over the other?Galvanized vs powder coated cages?
You definitely want powder coated. When the galvanized steel get soaked with urine, it gives off an awful stench. I've bought plenty of martin's cages and they are truly great cages but you really want the coating.

Also, not very healthy for rats to be chewing on zinc. ;)Galvanized vs powder coated cages?
not sure about powder coated but 'galvanized' is a coatting of zinc over steel, some zincs have high lead content mixed into them...and rodents love to chew. powder coated sounds like an enamel, i would research what the 'powder' coated really is. good luck
Go with the powder coated. It'll last longer and just looks better. lol

And what the poster above said.

Good luck
Powder coated is better.
