Powder coat filled metal?

my scooter legshields have rotted through in little specs. can I fill them and still have it powder coated? or will the particles not stick to filler? any particular filler i should use?

I'd suggest Isopon, although it can be difficult to work with. It requires a lot of sanding to get it smooth but as far as I know it can be powder-coated. Make sure to prepare the area completely, get rid of all the loose material before you start filling, otherwise you'll just be wasting your time!Powder coat filled metal?
Why not give the powder coating Co a ring and ask?


If you want to do a really good and permanent job, why not do what we used to do years ago and use lead solder? But check first to see if there is any heat involved in powder coating,and make sure you wash off any residual bakers solution or flux.
